I went down to Barry to see the children, they were so happy to see me I had to prise them off me to sit down, daughter-in-law was fine and very friendly she told me she has got tickets for me and my Mum to see Ffion sing in a Welsh concert next Thursday and on hearing that Ffion launched into a medley of songs sitting on the window sill (she has a voice like a cheesegrater just like me). At one point she said " Nonna? my Daddy does'nt live here anymore, are you going to smack his bottom?" Jake was very quiet, he will be 9 on Saturday but we have been his family since he was 3 1/2 his biological father never sees him or sends Xmas gifts or birthday cards and of course he contributes nothing in the way of money, he is a lovely child - top of his class - bi-lingual like his sister and cousin Ben - He seems to be OK but didn't mention Francesco at all.

i love going to the childrens concerts our lawrence has only ever done one when he was at nursery with the way that he is he hasnt been in school to do them but this year i am hoping he will take part in the nativity play

Ffion was Mary this year in the nativity, she had a tug of war type fight with her cousin over the *baby Jesus doll*

I know this situation really bothers you, it would me too, but I just wanted to say I imagine it does so much for both the kids to see you, to know you aren't going anywhere. Not a fix, of course, but a huge support.

*wipes mouth with back of hand after delicious tea and cookies - thanks* I'll always be there for both of the kids and that goes for my whole family, its a tough deal for us because we have another Grandson Ben, 6 yrs old the son of my middle son Giancarlo he was born when Gian was only 18 and the relationship with Ceri Ben's mum didn't survive, but we have him to sleep over every Friday night, used to be Monday and Friday until he started school, we wonder if we'll ever have a Granchild that is actually going to be brought up with its Dad where he should be.

I just came over from bean-daily to take a lock at your page after not being here for some time.
I did not feel much like writing recently, though it always feels good to listen to you girls.
I had my share of family affairs at x-mas.
My husband to whom I am married now for almost 13 years decided the 23.Dec. to be a good time to leave the family....he had to think....
I spend the holidays with my parents and our 7 year old son Jonathan.
What hurt me most was to see that little guy suffer.
Also we are back together again and try to find a way it is a sting in my flesh that is constantly hurting.
so,you have my deepest sympathy about what is happening to your family.
I do hope ,what ever way it will turn out,it will be for the best of all of you!!

I'm so glad you got to see the kids, Sandra. They must be so scared and confused right now, and really need some kind of anchor or rock in their life to cling to, and who better to rely on than Nonna! I'm also encouraged that your daughter in law is being friendly with you; hopefully she'll continue to let you have access to the children.

How's Francesco holding up?

I haven't been around so much lately, I know, but I'm trying! Want to make sure I keep up with everything that's going on with everybody. I'm doing okay; busy, but I'm getting used to it! I'm taking a few days off this coming week so I'm looking forward to a nice rest.
