I may have sounded very out of sorts when I have updated recently because as you know we are going through a tough time with my son and his family- no change there at the moment - but we have had a lovely weekend because Wales won the Rugby Six Nations Grand Slam, this is the most important event in the Rugby Calendar for any Welsh Rugby follower and we will never be able to wipe the smiles from our faces :)
We have also been working very hard upgrading the grounds of our hotel, we bought a piece of derelect land next to the hotel in January and my husband, my sons and 2 builders have worked very hard to renovate it and make it part of our gardens. I have posted some before and after pics for you all to see.

This is mr ffiondove and 2nd little ffiondove beginning the clear-up.

Thanks Susie! we are very proud of it, when we bought it 14 yrs ago it was very run down, we only paid 1p for the goodwill and on the day we reopened the place mr ffiondove and I had £24.00p to our name which we spent on a chinese take away to treat some friends who had helped us out. There are 10 chalets and 2 two bedroomed cottages in the grounds and we have just applied to build 10 more chalets, I don't know if we will get planning permission but who knows?

Hello! And what a way to win the Six Nations! I was sat, fist in mouth for the last 20 minutes, especially when Ireland scored two tries....

Did your Irish hotel guests drink you out of guinness while they were consoling themselves? :)

Couple of quick questions....

1) May I friend you?
2)Do you have a website for the hotel?

Oh! yes please do friend me and I'll do the same back.
Our website is www.e-rhondda.co.uk/manorhouse it has been up a year now and due for an upgrade.
God that last part of the match on saturday was tense, I had to keep leaving the room, I just couldnd watch!! the beginning too was quite difficult because when Ireland scored first I thought "please don't let Wales relax to much because they've done so well and think they are invincable" but in the end it was a great win. Our town came to a complete standstill cars stopped in the street and sounded their horns and kids were running round the streets, it was lovely. When the Irish came back from Cardiff we were in the middle of an 18th birthday party so they joined in, mr ffiondove stayed up till 3.30ish in the morning having a drink and a sing song with them, they were all lovely people and very pleased for Wales.
