A Family Wedding

ffiondove_20My youngest sister is getting married on April 2nd. as least she and her partner are having their union blessed, my sister is 35 years old and gay she and her partner have been happily together for 5 years and with all this talk about legalising same sex relationships mr ffiondove and I offered to do their wedding at the Manor House as our gift to them, they will still have to go through the registry office bit when it is finally legalised here ( I promise the world as we know it will not end when it is) We are all very excited about it and all talk has been of colour schemes, flowers, balloons and whos wearing what. Both the girls are suitably freaked out and nervous and we have had all the usual family fights about who is sitting where and who can come and who can't. Now we are all looking forward to it and of course I will be telling you all about it and posting pics if I could I would love you all to be there, I know you will wish her luck, she is a wonderful woman and she has been to hell and back in her life, she is the most generous of my sisters and her partner is just like another sister (like I needed one)
I still don't know what I'm wearing to the wedding, I think it calls for something brand new and expensive ;)

Date: 2005-03-23 05:56 pm (UTC)People have been coming to Ontario from all over the world since we legalized same-sex marriages here, and..... SURPRISE! ..... the world hasn't come to an end and we haven't been smote by God's wrath.
A wedding is an occasion to celebrate, regardless of who's getting married. I wish them all the best, and can't wait for some pics!
