Amazing how long it takes to put up a Christmas tree! I kid myself every year that I am going to get it done in an hour or so......but it always end up taking me the whole afternoon! Still have about 6 presents to buy which I plan to do on Sunday - then Monday I have a family lunch and cooking mince pies and sausage rolls in the afternoon/evening - I am hoping my Granddaughter Ffion will come over Saturday afternoon and give me a helping hand with the fudge, coconut cream, peppermint creams and rocky road, got the tins ready to put them all by for Christmas. I am aiming for having a relaxing Christmas Eve, hanging out in town with my husband browsing the shops and drinking coffee then off to the cinema to see the new Hobbit film then home to put the turkey in the oven to cook overnight............of course as my lovely friend Mare has already said this week "Best laid plans" etc..............

Oh, it's not the dragging in that's the prob, it's that real trees are a fire hazard because some twits let them dry out. Remember the terrible fire we had a couple years ago: the triple threat: dried out tree, woman fell asleep on the sofa with a lit cigarette, & a non-working smoke alarm (no battery). Engulfed most of the building & the blowing ash threatened to set our building ablaze. Moron cost twelve families everything they had ... and at Christmas, too. *shaking head*
So now it's not legal to keep a real tree.
*pouts*
Maybe I'll buy a wreath.
